Thank you for stopping by to inspect my mess lol
Here it is in all of its glory! I recently moved in and have no dedicated workspace/room so most of my creative stuff is in the garage. I'm using a Walmart collapsible table and am surrounded by boxes and furniture ready for the rest of the house!
To be honest, I don't notice the mess when I am creating and I get a great sense of comfort from being surrounded by what I need close at hand. Eventually the chaos will have a home of its own, but my table will always be a mess and that is how I like it!
A big THANKS to Seth Apter of The Altered Page for organizing this event, and for getting people to bare their studio tables!

Great to see your work space, even when we have lots of space we tend to end up with an area we clear up to work in lol.
ReplyDeleteDo you know about another Blog called WOYWW i think. Every Wednesday people blog whats on their work desk, hence the WOYWW:-) xxx
Thank you massofhair, I wasn't aware of WOYWW, but I do now! lol
DeleteGreat to get a look at your crafty space Sharon, - hope you will find a more permanent space soon! This looks very creative (and somewhat familiar...) A tidy studio always depresses me, this is how I like it!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Astrid!
DeleteI am ALWAYS reorganizing. I hope you're able to set up something permanent but I think artists make any space their home
ReplyDeleteVery true Lin Collette and years ago I can remember being confined to using a coffee table and sitting on the floor!
DeleteGreat shots, there's actually a beautiful feel to your creative space. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathryn x
DeleteYou have a big lovely space. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you Annie, I can't wait to put shelves everywhere!
DeleteLove how you use your upended tables as 'tables'! and such great natural lighting - looks like a wonderful space to create!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mic x
DeleteGreat tour ~ fun to see your space!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marjie x
DeleteLove seeing your current 'studio table' here! I too had a move so I've been struggling with my space which went from a 2-bedroom apartment I had ALL TO MYSELF, to one room in the new apartment I share with my dear boyfriend...alas, he came with a LOT stuff of his own and we share this new home together! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to being organized. Hopefully by Christmas!
DeleteThose Walmart tables can be a life saver.. I still remember being confined to my dining room table and piling all my stuff round. We ate at the couch ;o)
ReplyDeleteYes and only $38!
DeleteGreat to see that even moving house hasn't stopped you. Isn't the floor handy!
ReplyDeleteThe floor is wonderful! Jo
DeleteI like that you can find space and ways to be creative even when moving... Moving does my head in completely... Love that this event is introducing me to lovely new blogs like yours...xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Tracey x
DeleteI love your chaos! I need lessons in how to get my chaos organized. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bill! x
DeleteI like your big pile of rubber stamps in that bucket, overflowing. Lots of goodies to play with here. xox
ReplyDeleteThank you Corrine x
DeleteYour space has such good light and good vibes! Really enjoy seeing where your lovely art is made and I, too, love the pile of Rubber stamps! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Kae Pea x
DeleteMMMmm, stamps! Love your space and the potential it has! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a great collection of stamps and stamp pads - I only have a few basic colors of stamp pads....maybe it's time to expand! :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Terrie and you must expand your ink pads!
Deletemess schmess! Looks pretty good to me :) And I think it's impossible to create in a 'tidy' space - you need to freedom to explore and play and you can't do that in emptiness.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog :)
Agreed Felicity!
DeleteThe first thing I noticed was the wall of stamp pads. I have four or five that have not dried up over the years. However, I like reinkers, so I'm not terribly concerned about stamp pads. How do you keep yours in such good condition?
ReplyDeleteI see you are also a stamper, and that basket of rubber stamps made me quite happy. I'm just now learning how to stamp. I had a look around your blog and you do LOVELY, LOVELY work. Thanks for sharing your creative space.
Thank you Bleubeard. That is only half of my stamp pad collection. The rest of my stamp pads, inkers and paints are still in boxes and there are more stamps too! lol I am on the Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko DT (the makers of StazOn) and am lucky enough to get stamp pads as part of the team.
DeleteI always think tidy spaces are boring!! So much better to have things at hand. Have now got ink pad and stamp envy though!!
ReplyDeleteLol Thank you Steffi x
DeleteWhat fun you will have opening up your art boxes again. Good luck moving in. I am not bothered about my untidy workspace either, until I fall over something and hurt myself!
ReplyDeleteYou need an Ottlite! It will prevent any falls lol
DeleteAwesome! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOMg! I laughed out loud at the tables on their sides!! I get what you mean when you said that have that sense of comfort having everything close at hand- must be an artist thing!! ")
ReplyDeleteDo tell me though, how the heck do you know what stamps are in that bag??
Thanks so much for sharing- very cool and similar to where I was a year ago!!
Lol, I have a great memory for my stamps. Those in the bag are some of my favorites, but I have another 3 huge boxes in the garage! I love my rubber!
DeleteGlad you unpacked the important stuff first - your art supplies! Even if not all of them yet, enough to make beautiful work. So nice to discover your blog through this hop!
ReplyDeleteThank you Robyn! x
Deletethanks for sharing-it is just as fun to see "real" tables as it is to see "nice" :)
